RESEARCH ACTIVITIES

  • Research Assistant to Prof. V. Sujatha (Professor, Centre for the Study of Social Systems, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi) for an upcoming Routledge volume on Global Capital and social differences as a part of Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR), New Delhi sponsored Conference on Globalisation.
  • Researcher and part of International team of India Honors Programme (IHP) 2005-06 organized by Boston University, USA to conduct an extensive research on “Rethinking Globalization” by reviewing the use of BT cotton in remote areas of West India and looking at the viability of Gandhian   model of self-sufficient villages in the region. This project was for a period of one month.
  • Worked as Research Associate assisting Prof. Anand Kumar, paper contributor on ‘Political Sociology’ for preparation of Trend Report for Sixth Round of Research Survey in Sociology & Social Anthropology conducted by the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR), New Delhi.

  • Public Speaking: Winner of best speaker in M.N. Srinivas inter – college Declamation. Best speaker award in several inter- school debates.
  • Social work: Worked for Antaragram- a rehabilitation centre for drug addicts. Held the post of Vice – President of NSS unit of Hindu College. Worked with “We for Yamuna”, “Action Aid India”, Gandhi Volunteers- UNDP, and    “Prayaas”. Participant in National meet on Volunteerism organized by Delhi University.
  • Dramatics: Active member in English dramatics society of Hindu college.
